<image:caption>These are important considerations when choosing a counsellor. It is critical you feel comfortable and secure in this relationship to gain maximum benefits. Online platforms are of the highest security as outlined by the Canadian Counsellor and Psychologist Association and the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). Saturday office hours are now available to those who want to meet in person. COVID protocols are followed.</image:caption>

      <image:title>My Approach - My Story</image:title>
<image:caption>Mother. Grandmother. Widow. Sister. Quilter. Dog Lover. Coffee Addict. I come to this specialty because of my own losses. I retired from school counselling a few years ago, after I was widowed. Our time in palliative care, sparked the desire to serve in the area of loss and grief. During those weeks in palliative care, I discovered that the process of dying is much like birthing: messy, painful, lengthy, lonely, intense. Not many people want to be involved in this topic. Yet, death and dying is also profound. And sacred. The world and my place in it changed completely, just as it did when I became a mother. Once able to rejoin the world in a meaningful way, I added grief and trauma training to my credentials. These classes confirmed my desire to establish this specialty online. I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor and have my Trauma Informed Training. I want you to know that I can listen and bear witness to where you are in your sorrow.</image:caption>
